The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
I shall succeed.
Psalm 23 : 1 is poetry in motion - it is about contentment.
'The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.'
shall not want could also read I shall not fail, or lack.
out of the negative it becomes - I shall suceed, I shall posess.
David is content because of the good shepherd's care.
David calls Him my shepherd, the ultimate possession is the shepherd person Jesus Christ.

The good shepherd devotes everything for the wellbeing of His 'sheep'.
here is that wonderful agreement, You are all mine and I am all yours.
